Early Access: the offer in full
In short: while Groundskeeper is in Early Access, the first 100 schools to ask get the full edition (Pro) free, until at least 31 August 2027. Groups of schools can have Central too.
Who can have it
- The first 100 schools that ask, in the UK or elsewhere.
- A group of schools (an academy trust, or a US school district) can also have Central, the hub that shows all its schools together. The hub counts as one of the 100, and each school it is set up in counts as one more.
- Up to ten schools per Central during Early Access. Schools beyond ten are a normal quote.
How long it lasts
- Free until Groundskeeper reaches version 1.0, and in any case until at least 31 August 2027, so you can plan on that date.
- Version 1.0 means “ready”, not a date: among other things, a handful of schools have run it unattended for a term.
- There will be notice before anything you use free starts to cost.
- Schools that help us test can keep it until 30 September 2027, so there is time to raise an order.
How to ask
- Email licences@rsjsoftware.com with your school’s name and its ID: a UK URN, a trust’s Group UID, or a US district’s NCES ID. Keys are issued by hand, one per school.
- Outside the UK and US, send your school’s name and country instead; we set those keys up by hand too.
What happens when it ends
- Your school keeps the connectors it already had running.
- The free Community edition stays free: no time limit, five connectors.
